Retired Farmer Frank Dygert Dies Of Infirmities At 84
Frank L. Dygert, 84, a retired farmer, died at 6 p.m. yesterday at Tri-State Convalescent Center at Clarkston, where he had been a patient since June. Death was due to the infirmities of age.
Dygert was born Oct. 11, 1887 at Woodstock, Ill., the son of John and Clara Dygert. He came west with his parents when he was r. He married Sadie Brown Nov. 14, 1913, and they farmed on Fix and American ridges above Kendrick until they retired and moved to Clarkston in 1945.
Mrs. Dygert survives at the convalescent center.
Other survivors inlcude two sons, John Dygert, Newport, Ore., and Samuel Dygert, Clarkston; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Fix, Dayton; and a brother, Clarence Dygert, Sedro Woolley, Wash. The couple raised a granddaughter, Mrs. Sharon Shorb of Olympia. Dygert had seven other grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. ath the Clarkston First Baptist Church with the Rev. Merle Wood officiating. Burial will be at Vineland Cemetery.
Merchant Funeral Home, Clarkston, is in charge of arrangements.
